Downloading the Blackboard Learn Course Package

Please note, the course package contains individual links to each section of the OpenStax textbook. All available, additional resources can be downloaded on the Instructor Resources tab.

To download the Blackboard Learn Course Package, follow the steps below:


1. Create or have your administrator create an empty course.

2. Download the Blackboard export file from OpenStax.  Be sure to maintain the compressed/zip file. No key is required to import the Blackboard course package.

3. Within your Control Panel, go to the Packages and Utilities section, then Import Package/View Logs.

4. Follow the prompts to import the file.

a. On the Import Package page, select the destination course (the one your IT admin set up). 
b. In the “Select a Package,” area, browse your computer for the downloaded Export file.
c. Select your desired course materials and components, and submit.  


Please note: Our team does not have access to the Blackboard platform, so our knowledge on importing this resource is somewhat limited. The best point of contact would be your school's IT or LMS administrators.
