Downloading the Moodle Course Cartridge

Moodle Cartridges are currently available for Introduction to Business , Principles of Management , and Psychology 2e . The course cartridge may not be compatible with Moodle versions 4+. Please note if the screenshots differ from your view, you may be using a customized version of Moodle.

The course cartridge includes individual links to each section of the OpenStax textbook. Additional resources can be found under the Instructor Resources tab in .docx, .pptx, .pdf, or Google Form formats. If you plan to use these additional resources in your LMS, they will need to be converted. We recommend contacting your institution's technical support team, LMS support team, or IT administrators for assistance.

Download the Moodle Course Cartridge

Follow the steps below:

  1. Create or have your administrator create an empty course.
  2. Download the Moodle backup file from OpenStax. The course cartridges are Moodle backup files with the extension .mbz.
  3. Click More in the menu bar, then click Course reuse.

  4. From the drop-down menu, select Restore.

  5. Upload the OpenStax course file into the dialog box. Click Restore. Continue selecting Continue or Next until complete.
