How to Create a Student Account on OpenStax.org

How do I create a student account on OpenStax?

To create a student account, follow these steps:

  1. Go to openstax.org.
  2. Click Log in in the top right corner of the page.

  3. Click the Sign up tab to create a new account.

  4. Select the Student role.

  5. Enter your account information, create a password, and agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Notice.

    Note: Your password must be at least eight characters. You can add more email addresses after you create your account.

  6. Check the email account you entered for a message from noreply@openstax.org with a six-digit PIN. If you don't see the email, check your Spam or Junk folder. You can also resend the confirmation email by clicking the down arrow next to your unconfirmed email in your account profile and selecting the resend option.

    Enter the PIN and select Confirm my account.

  7. Account setup is complete! Click Finish to return to the openstax.org home page. You will automatically be logged into your new account.
