How to Change the Text Size in the Online View of the Textbook

Adjust font size in Online View

To adjust the font size in the online view of your textbook, follow these steps:

  1. Select the category for your textbook on the OpenStax Subjects page. In the screenshots below, OpenStax College Success is used as an example.

  1. On the category page, locate the book you want to use.

  1. In the Get the book drop-down menu, select "View Online."

  1. In the online version of your OpenStax textbook, click the AA icon on the right side of the search bar.

  1. Move the slider left or right to decrease or increase the font size.

Alternative options

If you prefer, you can also adjust the text size using your browser's built-in features.

  • Most web browsers, as well as the PDF version of the textbook, offer Zoom In and Zoom Out options, usually located in the View menu. This allows you to increase or decrease the size of the page content.

For an even more flexible experience, some users prefer the PDF version with Adobe Acrobat. Adobe Acrobat allows you to adjust magnification by percentage, which can provide a more customized viewing experience.
