How to Change the Text Size in the Online View of the Textbook

To adjust the font size in the Online View of your textbook, follow these steps:

1. Select the category for your textbook on the Subjects page on openstax.org. Under the College Success category, we will choose OpenStax College Success as the example for the screenshots below. 


2. On the Categories page, locate the book you wish to use. 


3. In the Get the book drop-down menu, select "View Online." 

4. You are now in the online version of your OpenStax textbook. At the top of the page, on the right-hand side of the search bar, click on the AA icon.


5. Once you have clicked on the icon, you can move the bar left or right to change the size of the font (Left for smaller and right for larger).

Alternative Option:

If you'd prefer, you can adjust the text size using your browser’s built-in features:

• Most web browsers and the PDF format of the textbook offer Zoom In and Zoom Out options, usually located in the View drop-down menu. This allows you to increase or decrease the text size on the page.

For an even more flexible experience, a customer recommended using the PDF version with Adobe Acrobat. If you download the PDF, Adobe lets you adjust magnification as a percentage, providing a more customizable viewing experience.
