Why are my students seeing a message that the course isn’t activated?

My students are receiving a message that the course hasn't been activated

If your students are receiving a message that says the course hasn't been activated, it means your course is live with assignments but has not yet been fully activated.

This can happen if you created your course by copying an existing one. In this case, you'll need to manually activate the new course.

How to activate your course

  1. Open your course.
  2. Navigate to any assignment.
  3. You'll see a page titled "Activate this course."
  4. Click the Activate button to complete the process.

Once the course is activated, your students will no longer see the message.
