How do I reset my OpenStax account password?

Reset or Change Your OpenStax Password

In this help article, you will find instructions for resetting or changing your password in your OpenStax account.

Reset your password

1. Go to OpenStax.org and click Log in in the top right corner.
   
    
2. On the login screen, click the blue Forgot your password? link below the orange Continue button.
   
   
3. Enter the email address associated with your OpenStax account on the Reset password screen.
   
   
4. Click the orange Reset my password button. A password reset email will be sent to your email address.
   
   
5. Look for an email from noreply@openstax.org. If you do not receive it, check your spam folder. Click the reset link in the email.
   
   
6. Enter your new password and click the orange Login button.
   
   
7. After you click Login, you will be taken to your Account Profile page. Your password has now been reset.
   
   

Change your password

1. Log in to OpenStax.org.
   
   
2. Open the menu under your name and select Account Profile. Please note that the Account Profile page opens in a separate tab from the OpenStax.org website.
   
   
3. Click the pencil icon to the right of Password.
   
   
4. Enter your new password and click the orange Login button.
   
   
5. After you click Login, your password will be updated and you will return to your Account Profile page.
