Using the highlighting and note taking feature on mobile or tablet

Create a highlight and add a note

Currently, you can view your highlights and notes on your tablet, iPad, and mobile device. You can also view your My Highlights summary, create study guides, and print from your tablet, iPad, and mobile device. At this time, you cannot create or delete highlights or add/edit/delete notes on your tablet, iPad, or mobile device.

To make the most of the OpenStax highlighting and note-taking feature, we recommend creating highlights on a desktop and reviewing or studying on your tablet, iPad, and/or mobile device. Please visit the Creating highlights and adding notes on desktop and laptop help article for more information.

Viewing highlights and notes

The highlights that you created on your desktop/laptop will appear on the page itself, so you can see them as you read the book.
